HEER HVAC D16 Ducted RCAC photo of outdoor unit but no photo of indoor unit for existing equipment installed at site

IPART Email (IMS0008703) received 4 Mar 2026

Question: " In instances where a ducted RCAC unit is being replaced and a geotagged photo of the outdoor unit fully wired and connected is captured but the photo of the indoor unit was missed while in the roof/ceiling space, does this meet IPART's definition of 'existing equipment installed at site"? "

Answer:

Photos of both the indoor and outdoor units are ideally required to demonstrate that existing equipment was installed onsite. If there is insufficient evidence, we strongly recommend not registering the associated certificates.

Given that you only have photos of the outdoor unit, we suggest exploring additional evidence for the indoor units. Examples of this could include but not limited to, a combination of recycling or disposal records for the indoor unit, electrical drawings etc. The ACP is ultimately responsible for obtaining sufficient evidence to enable the auditor to provide positive assurance on the implementation.
