Frequently Asked Question

Question: " IIf an address has had an Activity 30B installation, can VEECs be created for a new Activity 30A installation (or vice-versa - i.e. previous 30A installation, new 30B installation)? "? "

Answer:

Based on the requirements in the VEET Regulations, a premises is not eligible to receive VEECs for both an Activity 30A and an Activity 30B installation during the relevant period.

The Regulations state that a certificate cannot be created for the installation of an in-home display unit specified in Part 30 of Schedule 2 if, during the relevant period, one or more in-home display units specified in Part 30 have already been installed at the premises as part of a prescribed activity.

The restriction applies to Activity 30 as a whole, rather than separately to Activity 30A and Activity 30B. For example, where an Activity 30B IHD has previously been installed at a premises during the relevant period, a subsequent Activity 30A installation would not be eligible for VEECs at that premises.

The same would apply in reverse where an Activity 30A installation had occurred first.
